Stone-Clad Extension Ready for Christmas

Project Overview

HD Broers Ltd completed a beautiful home extension just in time for the festive season, blending functionality with elegant design. Clad in a warm rust-coloured stone, the extension harmonises seamlessly with the neighbouring property while delivering modern amenities. The project created two interior spaces, enhanced outdoor features, and a refined exterior finish, making this property a true seasonal showpiece.

Exterior Features

The extension’s exterior features double-glazed windows and a new entrance door, complemented by a sliding patio door on one side. Traditional-style exterior lighting, sleek guttering, and neatly finished window sills add to the sophisticated look. The surrounding ground was meticulously landscaped, including a sloping block-paved area leading to the garage and entrance, with paving blocks matching the stone cladding for a cohesive finish. A gated garden area now features white marble slab paving edged with dark brick, setting the stage for new plantings, including trees and a potential lawn.

Interior Spaces

Two distinct interior spaces were added to the home.

Entrance Porch/Corridor: Bright and airy, this new entrance features a glazed door, two windows (one full-length overlooking the garden), a skylight, and a modern ceiling light fixture. This space serves as a welcoming passage to the heart of the home.

Cosy New Room: This inviting space features a wood-burning stove, patio doors leading to the garden, and sliding glazed doors connecting to the living room. Two skylights and a rectangular light fixture in the ceiling enhance the room’s warmth and ambience, making it a perfect spot to relax during the holiday season.
